FAQ

Common support questions.

Does OctoNet track my phone location?

No. OctoNet does not track customer phone locations. IMEI safety information is for checking whether a device may be reported lost or stolen, not for location tracking.

How do I find my IMEI?

You can usually dial *#06# on your phone. Many devices also show the IMEI in Settings under About or Device Information.

How do I know if my phone supports eSIM?

Look for an EID in your device settings or by dialing *#06#. If your phone has an EID and is unlocked, it may support eSIM. Final compatibility depends on the exact model and partner rules.

Will OctoNet support physical SIM cards?

OctoNet is being designed with both travel eSIM and pSIM support in mind where partner supply allows it.

Is travel eSIM a full phone plan?

Travel eSIM plans are usually data-only unless otherwise stated. Calling and texting can often be done through internet apps like iMessage, FaceTime, WhatsApp, Messenger, or similar services.

Can I use hotspot?

Hotspot availability depends on the destination, partner network, device, and plan rules. OctoNet should confirm hotspot support before public sale.
